TRIBUTE TO THE LATE GREAT ROY ORBISON

Welcome to Martin Penrose's "The Big O website"

"The Big O" Elvis -Spectacular.

A big fan of Roy Orbison and Elvis, it has proved a great decision to help keep many of Roy's songs alive with such a professional and dedicated band.

I have been fortunate to join Elvis tribute artist, Johnny Memphis and the "Thankyouverymuch" Orchestra. The show has been playing to sell out audiences around Melbourne and Victoria.

The band features some great muso's such as

Trevor "Mad dog" McQuade on lead guitar-

Gary "the Gun" Winchester, base guitar-

Sam "the Atlas" Incata, keyboards -

Jeff "the Professor" Evans, drums.

Adding to the wall of sound are "the Sweet Inspirations", two sensational singers in their own right, Laura "the Ice Queen" Armstrong and Jacquie "Little Red" Corbett".

In the last bracket , these two can even get married couples off their bums to dance with some classic Disco and RockNRoll numbers that will blow your wig off.

If your a "ROY ORBISON fan, listening to classic songs such as "Running Scared " and "In Dreams" performed live adds a different dimension to the feeling and emotion already encoded into Roy Orbison's recorded style.

If you ever manage to get along to one of the shows, pay particular attention to "Crying " featuring Miss Laura Armstrong.
